Acute, uncomplicated (usually young women): Enterobacteriaceae (especially E. coli ) (GNR), enterococci (GPC in chains), Staphylococcus saprophyticus (GPC), S. aureus (GPC).
Complicated (older women, men; postcatheterization, obstruction, post-renal transplant): Enterobacteriaceae (especially E. coli ), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (GNR), enterococcus (GPC), S. aureus (GPC).
