Etiology
- Infections: Hepatitis B, endocarditis, syphilis, malaria
- Autoimmune: systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), mixed connective tissue disease, thyroiditis
- Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
- Carcinomas: gastrointestinal (GI), renal, bronchogenic, thyroid
- Drugs: gold, penicillamine, captopril
- Idiopathic
