Etiology
- Nerve entrapment or compression
- Less often systemic disease, eg, diabetes mellitus, amyloidosis, rheumatoid arthritis, lead poisoning
- Peripheral nerve tumor (rare except in neurofibromatosis)
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Ulnar entrapment, eg, cubital tunnel syndrome
- Radial nerve palsy (wrist drop)
- Femoral neuropathy
- Meralgia paresthetica
- Sciatica
- Common peroneal nerve palsy
