Gastritis
Etiology
- Erosive gastritis: NSAIDs, alcohol, stress, caustic ingestion, radiation
- Portal gastropathy
- Helicobacter pylori gastritis
- Pernicious anemia gastritis
- Uncommon infections: necrotizing gastritis; cytomegalovirus or Candida (common in immunosuppressed); Anisakis marina (raw fish)
- Chronic granulomatous inflammation: tuberculosis, syphilis, fungal infection, sarcoidosis, Crohn’s disease
- Eosinophilic gastritis
- Lymphocytic gastritis
